James Glenn Durgan

I haven't posted in awhile because life has been going smoothly and I've been enjoying settling in with Jim (a/k/a Mr. Waddles). But now all is not well and I'm reaching out to the internet for help.

Jim is missing. There has been a missing persons report filed and deputies in Chaffee County and Fremont County, Colorado are on the look out for his car. I last heard from him when we hung up the phone on Thursday, July 10th at about 7:15 p.m. He was going in to check in at the Holiday Inn Express in Canon City, Colorado. The picture above was taken June 26, 2008 and is a fairly recent picture. He left the house clean shaven, with a fresh haircut, in blue Levi Straus jeans, a brown Old Navy belt, brown Merrils, and a white polo shirt that had the "Nortel Networks" logo embroidered on the left side of the chest.

Below are links to stories with minimal information, but a horrid driver's license picture and numbers to call if anyone sees him. Please, please, please I beg of you... if you even think you see him, please contact the local police.

Aside from being the absolute love of my life, Jim has two children who are depending on his return.

Jim was scheduled to return to my (our, since he officially moved all his belongings in the 1st of June... after the initial load the first part of April) house at 8:30 on Sunday and, obviously, never made the flight.

Thank you all for your support and help.

Please be sure to hold your loved ones a little closer tonight. Give your significant other one more kiss on the way out the door... because one more is never enough... you never know when one of you may not walk back through that door.

Tara,
I'll forward Jim's pics around to people I know. Good luck, we are praying for you, too!

Thank you for leaving this blog up. I visit it often.

It both feels like a lifetime ago and yesterday that I was sitting in his car with him, singing 'Tears of Jupiter' at the top of our lungs.

ECD,

He loved that song! He loved a lot of those great albums that were coming out about the same time. I still can't listen to a Matchbox 20 song without feeling the same way. It certainly feels exactly like you said - a lifetime ago and yesterday all rolled into one emotion. Thank you for your memory and leaving a comment. You can never truly know how much it means for me. I've always known the blog would never bring him back but I had hoped it would one day help to serve as a place to memorialize him for those who meant the most to him. I can only imagine how difficult this weekend must be for you. I hope that seeing his pictures and hearing his voice here can bring you a small moment of comfort.

Please know that even now, after all these years, the two of you hold a special part in a lot of hearts of people you haven't had the chance to meet yet. I know it may not mean much coming from a stranger, but I want you to know how very, very proud your father was of you and your brother. He loved you both so much more than I could ever express here. I know he would have been elated to see and share in the accomplishments you've had growing into the adults you are today.

Thank you again for being brave and posting. Please know that you are always welcome to comment or reach out.

Hi TA,

Do you have an email address I can use to contact you? I’ve looked on the blog but with no luck unfortunately.
