Couldn't Pick a Better Time

With a late winter storm arriving in town tonight... and an expected 3-5 inches of snow tomorrow (hello Mother Nature... did you not get the memo that the first day of Spring is FRIDAY????)... I couldn't have picked a better weekend to get the hell out of Dodge...

Here's the forecast for the Jackson area:

Mar 20 Thursday
Chance of a few snow showers. Highs in the low 30s and lows in the mid teens.
Mar 21 Friday
Snow showers at times. Highs in the upper 20s and lows in the low teens.
Mar 22 Saturday
Times of sun and clouds. Highs in the low 30s and lows in the upper single digits.
Mar 23 Sunday
Snow showers at times. Highs in the mid 30s and lows in the mid teens.

The forecast for the Bakersfield area:

Mar 20 Thursday
Sunshine. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid 40s.
Mar 21 Friday
More sun than clouds. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the upper 40s.
Mar 22 Saturday
Mainly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s and lows in the low 50s.
Mar 23 Sunday
Abundant sunshine. Highs in the upper 70s and lows in the low 50s.

I love the part about the ABUNDANT sunshine... of course that's the day I'm leaving... to come back to the highs in the mid 30s... I plan on soaking up as much vitamin D as I possibly can in the short amount of time that I'll be there... of course that's if any of it can soak its way through the 60 spf sunscreen I bought... I am part Irish you know ;) Some of that auburn hair really is my own color ;)

Of course before you think I'm going somewhere completely glamorous... let me share with you a video that highlights my official "hometown" you know... the one I was actually born in... the one I'm brave enough to go back to... wish me luck...
