So with yesterday being a the day of the the leap year it was also officially Sadie Hawkins day...
which made me think of Sadie Hawkins of years past...
so I went digging through the picture books...
This was taken my freshman year of college
(at BYU... what the hell was I thinking? But that's another post).
The lucky man in the photo was my then current boyfriend (and yes that's the equivalent of a full bouquet of roses on my wrist... see... I've always been a spoiled princess :) ).
We actually have a couple more of these... from high school... but they're in my storage unit...
behind the condo... which is buried under 8 feet of snow right now...
But I have a pretty good mental image of them...
Egad! Picture matching jerseys and scrunchies (me, not him)...
This was one of the next lucky gentlemen in my dating career...
My friend and I are actually slouching so as to appear not that much taller than our dates...
Word to the wise... don't date men shorter than you... E.V.E.R.
Even wiser... don't date men who are grad students in mathematics... B.O.R.I.N.G.
I've learned something from every man I've dated... so many near misses... broken hearts... young puppy love... I sure am glad that Waddles came along to rescue me from my own self when he did...
