Wow... No Wonder

the local news sucks... there are too many comma splices to count! Not to mention... my all time favorite "there" in place of "their" - oye vehy! Ms. Reeves would be rolling over in her grave if I ever submitted a piece like this... let alone had it published... We can only hope that the editor at LocalNews8.com is already looking for a second job... lol.

*** My favorite part is "apparently THIS family was..." *** note the tone of the sentence... note that the one place in the entire brief synopsis where there should really be a comma there isn't one... Hey, Ms. Boatwright... you do know there are gentler ways to address the family in the article, maybe next time you should write something along the lines of, "Apparently, the family residing in the residence was preparing to have their Mother's Day meal." (P.S. note the use of THEIR...) ***

Seriously...

A house in Holly Place in Idaho Falls briefly caught fire this afternoon.

Apparently this family was getting ready to have there Mother's Day meal. They had just put some food in the oven, and all the sudden a fire was coming out of the stove.

Fire fighters were there quickly, and had it out within minutes of arriving.

Everyone in the house got out safe, and there was very little damage done in the kitchen.

"The fire seems to have ignited from an electrical problem," said Rick Taylor with the Idaho Falls Fire Department, "between the range, and the cord going to the wall. That resulted in a small gas leak."

Fire officials say there was more damage done to the cabinet above the stove, than the rangethat caught fire. Overall very little damage was done.
