I Go...

Out... like a real adult. Bossman, Jr.'s wife turned 30 yesterday. So naturally there was a big shindig out at one of the country clubs. It was more fun than I thought it would be. And the food. OMG. If you get the chance to dine at 3 Creek... take it!

Apparently, I never dress up for the office anymore. That's not really news to me. It's hard to find that balance between casual office and too glamorous for even Cosmo ;) Needless to say, it's probably been at least 18 months since I've been in FULL makeup at the office. We're talking full like I did the entire month of August. You know, actually presentable. Hey, honestly, there are days that eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss really do the trick.... anyway... I walked up to Big Bossman, his daughter (the b-day girl), his wife, and Bossman's wife to say hello... and Bossman's wife didn't recognize me... guess my resolution for 2010 should be to get dolled up more often ;) lol

I escaped the night with only one awkward moment... I wore a LBD I picked up last summer but didn't quite fit until now (another post, but then isn't it always!)... and my 3 inch black knee high heeled boots (my mother lovingly refers to them as my dominatrix boots)... getting back in the truck proved a bit dangerous on the icy running boards and I had a total Britney Spears moment with the valet... never fear... he's already seen me naked... but not how you're thinking... I had a very loose roommate a few years ago. I didn't know she had had company over during the night and I was on my way out of the shower and bathroom and still tying my robe... one of those meeting in the hall type of moments... because honestly... would you expect anything different from my life? And of course because Jackson is so stinking small... the valet would have to be Serge her hookup for the month of October.

So aside from that it was a good three hours of dinning, chatting, and surprising the world and myself...
