Flattery Will Get You...

Everywhere :) I haven't been down home in a couple of weeks so my mom and brother came up to have lunch with me this weekend. While I was waiting I snapped this picture. I figured why waste a good hair and makeup day, right?



Because I've been told that I need a new profile picture for the various social networking sites I went ahead and uploaded it the same day. One of my very nice friends and I were chatting about the picture and they were nice enough to tell me that they thought my mom and I were certain to be kicked out of the restaurant for being so young looking... yeah, no, really, honestly, I didn't make this up...

And as someone who has a birthday quickly sneaking around the corner... I so needed to hear that. Because even though I feel like I'm kind of emotionally stuck at 30 (the year where my life went to hell in a hand basket), I'm still in shock that I'm going to be turning 32 this year. THIRTY. TWO.
