8:31 PM - Paying It Forward
Current mood: cheerful
Category: Life
It's been one of those random, random, random weeks...
First the guy who owned the minvan that's been parked outside with a flat tire for a month finally showed up to collect his car. Only his battery was dead too. When I go home from work it looked like he had been there all day working on the car. Some other guy from upstairs walked by and asked him if he'd found the right tool yet and then jumped in his truck and drove off. At this point the guy asks me if he can use my cigarette lighter outlet to blow up his tire with his portable pump. No problem... I have three of them in the Durango... so I backed up to his car and opened the hatch to mine and for the next 45 minutes I was a rockstar to Josh :)
Then on one of the blogs I like to frequent (http://www.juliewaltonshaver.com/blog) I saw a little contest to help win a family a print credit... name the tree and they get a free 8x10... it's a no brainer really (not necessarily the type of tree). A quick 'google' search for shedding trees in the New York area and whala... (details... it's all in the details...)
TODAY'S CONTEST: You can win Claudia and Anthony a free 8×10 print of any image from their full gallery by naming the kind of tree my model is sitting in. I'll give you a hint: the splotchiness on the bark is not just from dappled shade. Have fun solving the mystery!

Good answer and thanks for trying to win the family a print, but no, that's not shagbark hickory!

Way to go, Wyoming! That's right! Thanks for commenting. I'm sure Claudia and Anthony will appreciate the added print credit.
