I'm trying to unwind and setttle down with the hopes of being asleep before midnight tonight... but the tarot card I pulled this morning on a whim on my way out the door keeps running through my mind... sometimes I'll randomly pull from the deck ~ it's like getting a personal horoscope for the day (yep, bet you didn't know I'm a little bit new age) ~ and today was one of those days. The cards were on the desk in the front room and almost instinctively I picked up the deck, unwrapped them, and as I started to pull a random card from the middle a card "jumped" out (for those who don't know when a card seems to slip from where you weren't intending to grap it's a sign that that's the card you should read - in other words - don't ignore it!). Anyway, my jumping card for the day was the Ten of Cups. I have a beautiful set with ornate pictures so it was a nice setting of an obviously happy pair of lovers wrapped in eachother's arms in a peaceful moment.

I went about my day with that peacefulness in my heart and mind. I'd fully intended to look up the card once I got to work... of course that didn't happen. So as I tried to unwind it popped back up in my mind again. So here it is... the Ten of Cups... (this deck has a different artist, but the same concept)

"This card shows a cup, held in a man's hand, and joined by a woman's hand, as they appear to be about to sip together from the liquid in the cup, as if sharing in a celebration of some wonderful event. There is a rainbow in the background and several tall, green trees, some shrubs, beside a river and with mountains in the far distance. The sky is blue and the day looks warm as in Springtime. There are 9 cups across the sky in front of the rainbow. This card symbolises great happiness and contentment. Two people are brought together in unison and peace to share a special time in their lives. A joint project has obviously reached fruition and they are proud of their achievements and wish to celebrate in grand style. If you draw this card you may rest assured, that even though it took a long time to get where you are, it has all been worth the effort and the energy expended. You can relax in your new found comfort zone and pursue your other objectives with peace of mind, knowing that your life is now more secure than it has ever been."

Yep, that pretty much sums up where I've been and where I am.
