The Kindess of Strangers

"Mirvana" left a comment on a previous post of mine directing me to the following songs... and even though I cried for the entire duration of the compilation... I appreciate that someone, who I have no way of finding out who they are and for all I know is a complete stranger, would take a moment out of their day to find something so touching and so pointedly true to my own life... and I didn't want the link to be overlooked since it was down a couple of posts in the comments... so I'm posting the video here for everyone else to enjoy as well... grab the kleenexes... you'll need them...

Thank you. You'll never know how much your kindness meant to me today... this is a rough month with a lot of plans that will never come to fruition... and one special birthday for a wonderful man who won't be growing a year older this year.

I was looking for the second song when I saw the compilation - I had never heard the first song but it made me think of you - and I cried when I heard it too.

I am a stranger - I found your blog through other links when Jim was missing and have been following it and everything that has unfolded since then. I've wanted to contact you a number of times but wasn't sure about posting a comment. I did update my profile with my email address if you would like to contact me.

Thanks again.

I love the fact that your blogger name is the Roman name of the Greek goddess Athena... who is credited with inventing music... it's so fitting that with that screen name you sent me those songs that I now hold near and dear.

You're very welcome for the songs.

Funny story about the screen name - I've used it in the past on other sites, one of which used to be a bingo game I was addicted to in college. I got a message from someone else on the board asking me the following : "So Miner, where in Virginia are you located?" it took me a while to figure out how in the heck someone would think I was a miner, from VA....
