Highs and Lows...

A friend of mine suggested I do a blog post that contains the highs and lows of my day...

So for your viewing pleasure here are the highs and lows of last weekend and the start of last week...

First the HIGHS

* Fireworks
* Spending time with family
* The look on Kidd's face when he opened the birthday present I got him
* Watching the P'rade
* Running into an old friend on the way to the parade
* Having a "camp out" in the trailer with Kidd
* Not wanting to get out of bed on Monday morning, but making it into the office anyway
* Repair bill being less than my deductible

Followed by the LOWS

* There was somebody obviously missing from the weekend
* Having that realization really hit home when I was buying fireworks
* My ex-sister-in-law deciding at the last minute that my little bro couldn't have the kids all night
* Not getting to see my niece and nephew
* Remembering the same look on Kidd's face last year when he opened the present that Jim picked out for him
* Holding everyone else's babies
* Having to get out of bed on Monday morning
* Backing into the nonlicensed, nonregistered, metal flat bed trailer
* Finding out that the repair bill is pretty much exactly what I have in my savings account right now... so much for paying extra on that credit card this month
* Not being able to call Jim to tell him about what happened

I so obviously need a vacation... instead I'm replacing a bumper...
