Happy Veterans Day

Today our nation honors those who have served to keep us free and to keep us safe.

Grandpa Warren was in the infantry and served as a cook.

Uncle Freddy served in both WWII and the Korean Wars.

Uncle Budd was also a valiant veteran.

My Papa Jim was on the USS Wasp serving as a radio tech during the Korean War.

And my very own "little" brother, Ted, who served on the USS Nevada as a missile tech during Operation Freedom.

There are countless other uncles and relatives who have unselfishly served in the armed services. The list, while never too long to mention, just isn't the same without the visuals to go with it. To see the valiant honor in these mens' eyes. To know that I come from a family of such strong character.

This year I'm especially thankful for the rights afford us. Even if it was a lengthy and complicated process, I'm thankful to have the opportunity to experience the process.

Thanks to all our veterans, current and past, for all you do. On this day. And everyday.
