The supreme happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or perhaps, loved in spite of ourselves.
-- - Victor Hugo
I saw this quote and immediately thought of Waddles. Nothing, and I do mean nothing, made me happier than to see him smile out of pure delight... to see him smile just to smile... with that special glint in his eyes... to hear him laugh that contagious laugh... to know that he truly felt at peace, if only for just a brief moment... to be able to share those precious moments with him...now the laughter has been replaced with the tick tock of the brass clock in the front room... the smiles with tears... the glint with sorrow.

Tara,
What a sweet birthday wish!!
I drove to Phoenix Saturday to meet with a few friends from High School. As well as Jim's dad Larry and his sister Pam.
Wow!! If you want to hear Jim's laugh, or see his walk, and look at his smile again? Get around his dad Larry!!
Larry brought numerous pictures as well as memories with him. We all did the same.
What a great night!!!
I so wish you could have been there with us all.
You of all people in Jim's life deserved to be there.
It was stated I don't know how many times (by all as well as his dad) how happy we were to know that Jim was able to experience such love and loved in the same.
He absolutely deserved that. As do you.
I will speak for all who was there, that you seem to be an incredable woman!!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. And we hope that in spite of your agonizing loss. Life delivers you every bit of great that you deserve.
Thank you again for giving Jim the best like and love that life could offer. I hope you experienced the same feel.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and hang in there.

Tracy,
Thank you for your very kind words and thoughts. Reading them has brought tears to my eyes. I too wish I would've been able to be there; if nothing more than to have been able to thank the people who have meant so very much to Jim throughout the years for being such an influential part of his life.
Life with Jim was more than I could ever ask for. He was so easy to love because he gave of his love and trust so freely in return. I know that I have been so very blessed to have him in my life... as we all have been.
Thanks again and much love,
Tara Ann
