Saturday night I met with some of the greatest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with. A few I knew before I got there and I should have known from the caliber of those I had already been introduced to that the rest of the gang would be no different...
the evening started with a beer bought in Jim's name...
many stories were shared...
many tears were shed...
many, many, many moments were made...
and many hearts were touched...
The gang joined in a toast led by Jim's two best buddies... a powerful moment that wet the eyes of all in attendance... Jim truly was a reflection of his friends. He was so blessed to know many of these men and women for over a decade (some for nearly 18 years!) and now I am just as equally blessed to have spent some time in their presence.
Jim touched the lives of so many people in many ways and there is so much more I want to say tonight... but I can't seem to find the words to express what I am feeling... so many special moments were made over the weekend it will take more than one post... but for tonight it is enough to simply have a moment to bask in the love that is still resonating from the gathering this weekend... there have been so many people recently that I will forever be indebted to... and Saturday that list doubled...
Thank you guys (and gals) for sharing the memories, moments, and love with me. Jim and I have been so very lucky to have been touched by each and every one of you.

I'm glad it was a good experience for you and his loved ones. The framed picture you took of him is beautful. So are you. Happy thoughts.
How healing it must be to surround yourself with those that love Jim. Notice i did not use the past tense of that word. Because all of you do and always will love him.
Thanks gals :) It was an amazing experience that I only wish the kids would've been able to share with me. Some day when they are older hopefully I will be able to tell them the stories that were shared with me that evening.
Oh I was worried all weekend for you. I am so glad it all turned out so well!
Thanks Camie - it was amazing... I'm still trying to get my head around all the events of the weekend...
