Halloween 2008 Update

The Kidd went as a Ghostrider in the Sky.
And despite the median age of those in this poor child's life...
it was completely and totally his little brainchild...

Sissie went as her princess self... complete with bows in her tail...
She only looks pissy...
when in fact she was quite prissy the entire evening...

Rockford was decked out in his "Little Monster" shirt...
and he was quite pissed bout it...
the entire evening...

I went as Sara Palin...
because I had this hairstyle long before she was a household name...

And our first "family" portrait...

Halloween in our family is followed quickly by All Souls Day. So Saturday my mother, youngest brother, and I traveled to all the local cemeteries to leave candy for relatives who have passed on and any other graves that reached out to us while we were there. We were at the second to last cemetery when Kidd announced that he thought he'd found one more relative but wasn't quite sure... so I told him if he felt like he needed to leave the candy there he should hurry back and do it. Our mother and I started heading back to the car when we noticed how large the bush we were walking by was... we're talking IMMENSELY huge... 4 feet wide... 4 feet tall... and just as THICK... and Kidd was on his way ALL the way across the cemetery... so of course we had to hide BEHIND the bush... it's our duty as his dysFUNctional family... and of course he SCREEEEEEAAAAAMED when we jumped up from behind said bush as we heard him walking by...

I hope your holiday was just as memorable as ours...

Sounds like you guys had a fun time. I was wondering what was up with your blog -- it wouldn't let me leave a comment there for a while! Maybe it was something on my end, but glad it's working now!

It was on my end... I did some blog "maintenance" and didn't realize that they weren't working... I just figured everyone got tired of my depressing posts and quit reading ;) And then Betsy clued me in... thanks for leaving a comment :)
