Today you would have turned 38.
I had a lot of things I wanted to put in this post... but something says I should just leave it at that for now... so the stories of how you came whooshing into this world in a hurry (so fast your poor dad missed your delivery because he was parking the truck), how you loved your Big Wheel, and how seasoned you were becoming will have to wait until another day.
I love you Waddles. I hope there is one hell of a party up there tonight... may the beer be cold and ever flowing... find Papa and Uncle Jim and Uncle Jess and Aunt Maxine and the rest of the Parnell gang and your mom and aunt and grandparents and Poppie and have a great big bash... because you deserve the best birthday Heaven has to offer.
And down here... well... I'll be doing my best to honor you today and every day.
