I captured this image in 2007 in Grand Teton National Park. We'd spent an evening enjoying the sounds and smells of fall. Pulling off with the rest of the tourist to listen to the elk bugle... and driving back to a few more remote places within the Park that only the locals will take the time to drive back to to catch the show. Unfortunately, I missed the rut this season. I just wasn't into taking pictures this fall. And I wasn't able to convince myself to go listen to the bugling without Jim, because without his enthusiasm I knew it just wouldn't be the same.

Thanks Teddy :) It was really amazing in person... next year you should bring Tom up into the Park and we can take pictures together!
