A Year Ago Today...

A year ago today Jim kissed me goodbye...

A year ago today he called from the terminal before his plane had even started to board to tell me he loved me...

A year ago today he called when his flight landed... declared it his lucky day because he found money in the parking lot...

A year ago today we hung up the phone so he could check into the hotel and get ready to see the kids...

A year ago today I wouldn't have ever have pictured myself without him by my side.

James "Jim" Durgan ~ December 17, 1970 - July 10, 2008
Gone but never forgotten...
To some you meant everything... to some you didn't mean enough.
May your memory live on in those that it did.

It's a beautiful tribute video. I'm so sorry for your loss. I am so glad you can feel his love for you.

July 10 should never have had to hold the meaning for you that it now does, Tara Ann.

Thinking of and holding you and Jim's memory close to my heart today.

Thanks ladies.

I agree M. It should never have had to be a reminder of anything more than our love. Now it holds his death and their sentencing.

More on that later...

what a beautiful tribute... I take it this is what you showed in court. Proud of you girl. I hope you get some comfort in knowing by the time those people have a chance of seeing daylight they won't be able to enjoy it... Hope you are getting some rest and hope the worst is behind you.

Thanks. It is indeed what I showed in the courtroom... and as you read the only dry eye in the courtroom was hers.

As for the worse... we'll see what next month brings.

Tara, This is a superb video, I had heard that you played it at sentencing. Seeing it is much better than hearing about it because words can not describe how truly your heartfelt triute to Jimmy realy was. I know it meant a lot to Larry and the books you put together will also keep the memory alive for Larry and his grandchildren. I am Marilyn's son and very familiar with the situation and thank you very much for adding a bright spot to Larry's grief. Thanks.
