Tell All Tuesday

1. The phone rings, who do you want it to be? Jim. But since that can't happen I'm usually just glad to hear it ring.

2. When shopping at the grocery store, do you return your cart? Generally.

3. In a social setting, are you more of a talker or a listener? I like to think I'm a good mix of both. I know when to engage and I know when to be engaged.

4. Do you take compliments well? I try. I know I could do a better job of it.

5. Do you play Sudoku? I love Sudoku. I've worked my way through a handful of books... have a hand-held... and use it to unwind after a particularly long day. Jim liked Sudoku too... we had little mini-competitions when we'd travel... and sometimes I even let him win ;)

6. If abandoned alone in the wilderness, would you survive? I would give it one hell of a try, but it has always been one of my biggest fears and one of the hardest things to try and to come to grips with about Jim's final hours waiting in that wilderness.

7. Do you like to ride horses? More than I like riding almost anything else.

8. Did you ever go to camp as a kid? Oh yes...

9. What was your favorite game as a kid? Hmmmm... I don't remember.

10. If a sexy person was pursuing you, but you knew he/she was married, would you go for it? If I knew upfront that they were married, no. I think we all know my story by now.

11. Have you lied to get out of a date? Lied. No. Invited more people along... CERTAINLY.

12. Could you date someone with different religious beliefs than you? I have and I would again... but that works under the assumption that I would ever want to date again.

13. Do you like to pursue or be pursued? Be pursued. Call me a traditionalist...

14. Use three words to describe yourself? Long legged lady.

15. Do any songs make you cry? Which songs don't make me cry at the moment...

16. Are you continuing your education? Not in the traditional manner... but I learn something new all the time either about an aspect of my job or life in general.

17. Do you know how to shoot a gun? Yes.

18. If your house was on fire, what would be the first thing you grabbed? The kiddos... my pictures of Jim... my Cabbage Patch doll... my flute... and my camera.

19. How often do you read books? Not as often as I used to.

20. Do you think more about the past, present or future? The past. The future as it is right now scares the hell out of me. I don't know how to adapt to a life without Jim in it... he's been a part of my life in one way or another for a decade... that's a third of my life... it's just too hard to imagine life without him in it... even though I'm being forced to.

21. What is your favorite children's book? Shell Silverstein: Where the Sidewalk Ends.

22. What color are your eyes? Brown.

23. How tall are you? Tall enough to reach the gas pedal... not tall enough to reach the items Jim put in the top of the cupboard...

24. Where is your dream house located? In the mountains near a beach.

25. Do you have a secret fetish? Well if I told you then it would no longer be a secret... but seeing as I don't have one it really doesn't matter now, does it?

27. Have you ever taken pictures in a photo booth? Yes... and the last time it was at Jim's suggestion.

30. Where was the furthest place you traveled today? Star Valley.

32. Do you like mustard? Not so much... but I make a killer mustard vinaigrette...

33. Do you prefer to sleep or eat? Can I eat while I sleep walk?

34. Do you look like your mom or dad? Of the three of us I'm the one that looks like the Barber side... everybody else looks like my mother's side. Lucky me... not.

35. How long does it take you in the shower? Under ten. I'm in and out... shampooed and conditioned... face scrubbed... it doesn't take long.

36. Can you do the splits? Not anymore.

37. What movie do you want to see right now? Duplicity.

38. If you could fast forward your life, would you? No, rewind, yes.

39. What did you do for New Year's? I honestly can't remember... oh, wait, I spent it at my parents' house in a funk...

41. Could you relate to a character in Mean Girls? I've not seen it... but since I was once the new girl in school... probably...

42. Do you own a camera phone? Yes.

43. Do you have an ex- box that you keep stuff in? I did... and then Jim and I sat down and laughed at it all while we went through it and decided what was really worth keeping... not a lot made the cut. But that was okay because it wasn't like I was holding on to them for sentimental reasons at that point... it was just a box that had been in storage.

44. Was your mom a cheerleader? She's always been my cheerleader... does that count?

45. What's the last letter of your middle name? N.

46. Do you like your middle name? Yes.

47. How many hours of sleep do you get a night? 3-4 on a good night anymore.

48. Do you like care bears? Not as much as I like Care Bears... why do these surveys always resemble the works of a third grader?

49. What do you buy at the movies? A movie ticket to get in ;) Is this a trick question?

50. Do you know how to play poker? Not as well as Mr. Waddles... let's just say he won the shirt off of my back on more than one occasion ;)

51. Do you wear your seat belt? All the time.

52. What do you wear to sleep? My birthday suit. Anything else gets wadded up and I get claustrophobic.

53. Anything big ever happen in your hometown? All the time.

54. How many meals do you eat a day? What exactly constitutes a meal...

58. Do you like funny or serious people better? It depends on the situation.

59. Ever been to L.A.? My family settled parts of it... so yes.

60. Did you eat a cookie today? Actually... for breakfast...

61. Do you use cuss words in other languages? Yes.

62. Do you steal or pay for your music downloads? I don't download music.

63. Do you hate chocolate? Really... who could hate chocolate??? It's a necessity...

64. What do you and your parents fight about the most? Probably the same things you and your parents get into it about...

65. Are you a gullible person? Ohhhhh yes...

66. Do you need a boyfriend/girlfriend to be happy? Not unless it's Jim.

67. If you could have any job what would it be? I love the one I have right now so there's no sense in dreaming about having another one... but if I wasn't doing what I currently do I could easily be a photographer or a beautician... lol.

68. Are you easy to get along with? Not really. You either love me or hate me... I don't know of a lot of people who walk that thin line in between.

Hi, I ran into this somewhere today... please try to find the video/song that goes wth it... though of you immediately..

The song - called 'To Where you Are' by Josh Groban, sung by Ryhdian Roberts

Who can say for certain
Maybe you’re still here
I feel you all around me
Your memories so clear

Deep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
You’re still an inspiration
Can it be
That you are mine
Forever love
And you are watching over me from up above

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for a while to know you’re there
A breath away’s not far
To where you are

Are you gently sleeping
Here inside my dream
And isn’t faith believing
All power can’t be seen

As my heart holds you
Just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me everyday
’cause you are mine
Forever love
Watching me from up above

And I believe
That angels breathe
And that love will live on and never leave

Fly me up
To where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for a while
To know you’re there
A breath away’s not far
To where you are

I know you’re there
A breath away’s not far
To where you are
